Davy Jacobs

I’ve never really noticed him before but blimey this dude can bat.

Coming up to 28. Tall, broad, blah blah.

Apparently he’s played for Northamptonshire but this must have passed me by.  Which is a shame.

His stats aren’t on the face of it that impressive.  Averages in the 30s with the bat but the stats don’t always tell the whole story as well we know.

His impressive display in the second Champions League T20 semi final has got a few people talking.   Lots of shots in his bag, superb wrists, grit, fastidiousness (is that a word?) and power.

Surely the SA selection panel must be having a little look?  Whilst Testmatchsofa Dan and I are busy checking his lineage for English heritage.   It’s looking unlikely he has any.  He’s from Transvaal which is the SA equivalent of Norfolk so it’s likely his mother is also his sister and his aunt.
